Radio LinkTwo Way Radio Systems

Did you know? Two way radios are the preferred means of communication for almost all community safety schemes including Shopwatch, Pubwatch and Neighbourhood Watch.

Radio Link Two Way Radio Repeater

How Does It Work? All of the radios on a Radio Link two-way radio system transmit to the "radio repeater" which in turn re-broadcasts the signal back to all other radios at high power. This increases coverage and building penetration, ensuring that every radio is within range and very few obstacles can block the signal.

Radio Repeater

The repeater has an antenna, usually mounted at a publicly owned (council) building. If there is no publicly owned (council) building available a signed agreement can be made with a volunteer business that has a building in a prominent location.

Radio Link Two Way Radio System Frequently Asked Questions

Here's a list of questions we frequently get asked by people wanting to either set up a new Radio Link Two Way Radio System or need us to take over an existing system.

Who Usually Operates A RADiO LiNK Two Way Radio System?

The RADiO LiNK solution from Radiotronics is a community two way radio system, usually operated as a partnership between Radiotronics, a business crime reduction partnership (BCRP) or a business improvement district (BID) scheme, the local council, local community police force, local chamber of commerce, and or a committee of volunteers. "Permission" is not needed. However, evidence of community participation is usually a good starting point.

For some smaller town schemes that do not require much managing Radiotronics can manage the system for you. We have a selection of pre-written PDF downloadable documents that help members to get the most out of your RADiO LiNK two way radio system.

Yes. Whilst it's helpful to have an agreement in the local community, the reality is that anyone can set up a Radio Link two way radio system. In some smaller towns a Radio Link two way radio system is sometimes an initiative of a single business. If a Pubwatch and or Shopwatch scheme already exists but there is no Radio Link two way radio system, this will enhance the existing scheme(s) and cooperation from the scheme coordinators is encouraged.
